Regulation 10
Interoperability and Innovation
DIFC’s risk and outcomes-based approach to regulation provides a safe and collaborative environment for building innovative x-tech.
Innovation requires a progressive support framework, and related regulations must be administered in a mature yet flexible regime. Regulation 10 creates a platform for interoperability between the growing international landscape of AI laws and policies applicable to your business.
The updated DIFC Data Protection Regulations enacted on September 1, 2023, include Regulation 10 on Processing Personal Data through Autonomous and Semi-autonomous systems, i.e., artificial intelligence (AI). Regulation 10 addresses the rapidly developing issues that impact individuals’ privacy and security vis a vis AI and other complex, advanced IT while providing a platform for interoperability around principles, ethics and governance.
