Dubai, UAE; 21 March 2022: DIFC Art Nights returns this week with the theme ‘The Future is Here’. The 13th edition of the much-anticipated biannual event will showcase creative and visionary artworks from talented local and international artists. The two-day DIFC Art Nights will take place on 24th and 25th March at Gate Village from 6pm onwards. The event will feature established as well as upcoming artists from around the world.
In line with this edition’s theme, futuristic installations will be on display and will include non-fungible tokens (NFTs), digital artworks, and artists’ depiction of what the ‘future’ means to them.
The artworks and installations will be on display both outdoors as well as in some of Dubai’s most prestigious art galleries, such as Opera Gallery, Sconci Art Gallery, Tabari Art Space, Christie’s, and Sotheby’s Art among others.
The Artiana Gallery will exhibit a medley of evocative virtual art pieces that will transport visitors to the future. The gallery’s first NFT-selling exhibition – The Mythical Metaverse – features the artworks of prominent artist Sakti Burman. The NFTs are based on the artist’s oil paintings and are now being presented as digital versions.
Artworks will be exhibited across Gate Village and will showcase the works of a variety of artists including Christopher Florentino, popularly known as Flore, a celebrated American contemporary fine artist whose distinct style fuses pop and street art. Through his pieces, Flore strips away all the filters that society places on our lives, the habits we are stuck in, the rules that we blindly follow, and the stereotypes we subconsciously subscribe to.
Additionally, there will be artworks on display by renowned artists such as Jake Michael Singer, Ranjeet Sarkar, Ajay Samir, Abdullah Ali, Kishore Pratim Biswas, Dilip Choudhury, Priti Mandal, Bishwaranjan Bhunia, and Anil Gaikwad.
Supporting Dubai’s art movement and positioning the city as the leading art hub in the region is an integral part of DIFC’s vision. Join the event for a unique experience, and be inspired by local, regional, and global art in a vibrant urban destination that promotes innovation and sustainability.
Visitors will also be able to participate in workshops, shop, and dine at the DIFC’s retail and dining outlets. For more details, visit: DIFC Art Nights | Dubai International Financial Centre
